It’s been way too long since we’ve posted a video on our youtube, which is a shame for all our fans (almost 40,000, woohoo!) who have subscribed to our youtube channel. That’s why we’ve decided that we shouldn’t just release music videos on our youtube, but also add other kinds of videos related to The Crowns.

In our first video we want to do a mini-interview where we answer some of the questions our fans have about the band, about us, about life in Amsterdam or about anything else. So if you’ve always wanted to ask Valentine if he’s really a yodeling professional, or if Thomas could show off his infamous Carlton dance, this is your chance (for those who have no idea what we’re talking about, check out our bio).

Our friend Douglas Bels has created a website to support independent Dutch artists. We think it’s an admirable thing to do and we wish him all the luck. You can check it out here.

The website is written in Dutch, so unless you have a strange curiosity for weird foreign languages it might be a bit confusing if you’re English :)

It was incredibly difficult, but we have managed to select a winner for the International The Crowns fanart contest: Jennifer Cade with her skillful and humorous drawing of our band. It took us very long to decide because it was clear that all of you put a huge amount of work into the fanart you sent us and we were extremely impressed with your creativity and talent. In the end the fanart by Jennifer won because it combines both skillful drawing with humour based on our (tongue-in-cheek) biography.

We’re very grateful for all the effort you put into your fanart. You should definitely check out some of the other amazing fanart in this gallery. We easily have the best fans of any band out there. You all rock!

Today is the final day that you can submit your fanart to the International The Crowns Fanart Contest. So you better get of your butts and be creative!

We’ve been very impressed with all the amazing fanart you have sent us so far, so keep em coming. Tomorrow we’ll announce the winner and create a gallery on our website with all the fanart that you have created.

It’s time for the first International The Crowns Fanart Contest! We’re giving away a The Crowns t-shirt or top (in the colour of your choosing) to the person who can create the best fanart. Feel free to submit anything from hand-drawn fanart to computer made fanart (example here). So grab your pencil/pen/paintbrush/computer/paint-dipped-leprechaun and unleash your creativity!

The final submission date is in one week (August 10th) and we’ll announce the winner the day after. You can send your fanart to contact@thecrownsmusic.com. Good luck!

Update: you may submit as many artworks as you want, but keep in mind we pick the winner based on quality and not quantity!

Update 2: you can make any kind of fan art you want, it doesn’t have to have our logo in it. There are a lot of pictures in our gallery that you can use.
